Description: The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a

* Flood Warning for…
Northwestern Wells County in south central North Dakota…

* Until noon CDT Wednesday.

* At 1046 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain has ended in
Wells county. However emergency management reported that crews are
still out evaluating county and township roads. In addition, as
runoff makes it’s way to the James and Sheyenne rivers, creeks,
ditches and culverts will be running full through the night. Since
the threat of flash flooding has ended, the Flash Flood warning
has been converted to an Areal Flood Warning. Once crews are able
to make sure proper signage is places for flooded roads, and
runoff subsides, the Areal Flood Warning will be allowed to expire.

Some locations that will experience high water include…
Harvey, Heimdal, Manfred and Wellsburg.
Instruction: Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
