Description: * WHAT…For the High Wind Warning, north winds 25 to 35 mph with
gusts up to 50 mph. For the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing
temperatures as low as 29 degrees expected.

* WHERE…Union County and Harding County.

* WHEN…For the High Wind Warning, until 6 AM MDT Wednesday.
For the Freeze Warning, from midnight tonight to 9 AM MDT
Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…High winds may move loose debris, damage property
and cause power outages. Travel will be difficult, especially
for high profile vehicles. Frost and freeze conditions will
kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage
unprotected outdoor plumbing.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…After somewhat of a lull in wind speeds
this afternoon, winds will quickly increase this evening. Wind
chills in the teens and low 20’s are likely tonight.
Instruction: People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown
around or damaged by the wind.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
